Biography: Jessica began her career as an educational specialist at the Beta Center in Orlando, Florida in 2001 where she worked with a team of social workers to provide home visits to recent graduates needing assistance. Following this, Jessica worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Central Florida’s School of Social Work. After completing her graduate degree, Jessica worked with children and families in the Orlando community, and as a school therapist. To broaden her knowledge and follow a passion, Jessica moved to London, U.K. where she lived off-and-on for a few years working as a social worker. Following this, Jessica returned to Orlando, Florida where she continued her work as a family therapist and adolescent group facilitator. Before her move to Georgia, Jessica spent two years as an individual and family therapist at Devereux, a top national behavioral healthcare provider. Jessica joined Northeast Georgia Counseling in 2014.

Experience & Specialties: Jessica is a highly experience therapist certified in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Jessica uses CBT to treat anxiety, anger management, binge eating, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, and more. Jessica also utilizes relaxation training, worry exposure, cognitive restructuring, realistic goal setting, problem solving, and skills training. In addition, Jessica is experienced in marital counseling and utilizes communication skill enhancement, identification of irrational responses, conflict resolution strategies, and exploration of distorted perceptions.

Education: Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts in broadcasting and communications at the University of Central Florida in 2001. Continuing her education at the University of Central Florida, Jessica earned her Masters of Social Work in 2005.

Hobbies: As a mom to four beautiful kiddos, Jessica spends much of her time on the weekend at parks, festivals, and traveling to other fun outdoor outings with her family. Jessica enjoys keeping a very active lifestyle. She loves running, playing basketball and volleyball, and hiking. Jessica also values giving back and investing in her community by coaching youth sports. Jessica is a spiritual person and loves attending church services as a family. In the little free-time that she might have left, Jessica finds herself relaxing with a good non-fiction book.
