MS, APC

Biography: Juliette began her career in the mental health field as a young college student. She was a preschool teacher as she completed her master’s degree, which is where her love for working with children flourished. During her graduate career, Juliette had the opportunity to begin working with teenagers as they dealt with life’s challenges and transitions. She interned at a counseling center that focused on helping individuals through the hardships and challenges of the immigration process, providing her with an unmeasurable perspective on human strength. She also assisted in creating multiple workshops about the importance of maintaining healthy sleep hygiene and its impact on physical and mental health. As the global pandemic hit in 2020, Juliette tailored the workshops to focus on helping those struggling with anxiety and stress and identifying healthy ways to cope with the new way of living.

Experience & Specialties: Juliette is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) who has been working with children for 8 years and counseling children, teens, and families for a little over 3 years. Juliette utilizes a Person-Centered approach when working with clients because she believes that counseling is not a ‘one size fits all’ practice. Juliette has experience in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy with her clients. She has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, emotional dysregulation, depression, and transitions into adulthood. She is trained as a DBT skills leader through Behavioral Tech and holds teen and parent skills groups. Juliette believes in creating an environment that allows her clients to feel comfortable and safe to express themselves as they work toward positive growth.

Education: Juliette has her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA and her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University (Minneapolis, Minnesota). She became a National Certified Counselor in December 2020 and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia as well as a member of the American Counseling Association and the Georgia Association for Play Therapists.

Hobbies: During Juliette’s free time, she takes every opportunity to spend time with her family. She enjoys going on walks in parks, listening to crime podcasts, re-watching her favorite TV shows and movies, reading, playing board games, cuddling up with her two fur babies, Demi and Athena, and vacationing anywhere a cruise ship is going.
