Laura (Patton) Patrick embarked on her counseling journey as a student intern at Northeast Georgia Counseling in 2021. Today, she stands as an associate licensed LMSW, having earned her master's degree in social work from Rutgers University. Laura's interest in counseling was sparked during her psychology studies at Ursinus College, and her eleven-year tenure as a college women’s lacrosse coach honed her empathetic listening skills. As a coach, she mentored athletes aged 16 to 23, becoming a supportive figure for them both on and off the field. With a background in coaching and psychology, Laura brings a compassionate approach to her counseling practice. She is well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more. Laura's expertise extends to various areas, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and LGBTQ+ issues. With a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from King's College and a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University, Laura is deeply committed to holistic well-being. Beyond her professional journey, Laura's love for nature, hiking, and travel energizes her. She shares these adventures with her wife and their beloved pups, fostering a connection that enriches both her personal and professional growth.
