Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a comprehensive background in both mental and physical health, dedicated to promoting the critical connection between a healthy mind and body. She provides counseling services to teens (ages 14 and up), adults, couples, and families, addressing a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship stress, parenting challenges, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Mary has specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD. She works collaboratively with clients to reduce intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and avoidance patterns, helping them regain a sense of control and confidence in their daily lives. She incorporates evidence-based strategies to support teens and adults struggling with anxiety-related disorders.
As a Gottman-trained clinician, Mary excels in guiding couples through difficulties and transitions, with a focus on strengthening communication, deepening intimacy, and rebuilding friendship. Additionally, as a SYMBIS-certified counselor, she provides premarital counseling to help couples establish a strong and lasting foundation for their future together. Mary also has extensive experience in parent counseling and works closely with families to foster growth, improve communication, and create healthy structure within the home. With a strong foundation in neurological and behavioral disorders, she helps parents navigate the complexities of raising children and teens, including setting appropriate boundaries and supporting emotional development. She also offers compassionate support to individuals and families navigating divorce and other significant life changes.
Mary graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Health Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Florida, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, graduating with high distinction, and was inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota International Academic and Professional Honor Society. Mary is a National Certified Counselor and an active member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and the American Counseling Association.
